Vincent Joseph Trentowski, 57, of Bear Creek Township, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at his residence. Born on July 28, 1955, in Plains Township, he was the son to Angela L. Zaniewski and the late Vincent A. Trentowski. Vince attended Wilkes-Barre schools and was a graduate of James M. Coughlin, Class of 1973. He was a mason working on waterproofing and restoration of large skyscrapers in New York City for most of his life. He was employed by Deerpath Construction and later by Hudak Waterproofing. In life, Vince was a true outdoorsman. He spent many nights camping next to a warm fire. He loved to ride quads and go hunting and fishing. Many weekends you would find him on his boat water skiing. He enjoyed going to local fairs and bazaars with his family. Vince was one of the biggest Eagles fans at heart. He most enjoyed having a few beers with his family and friends in his garage, and no one was allowed to leave without having a drink for the old Polish people. Vince was preceded in death by his father Vincent, July 28, 1987. Surviving are his mother Angela, Plains; daughters Alea and husband Patrick McGraw, Wilkes-Barre, Carissa and companion David Woodruff II , Wilkes-Barre; adopted son Phillip Myers and his wife Melissa, Wilkes-Barre; sisters Christine and her husband Stephen Wachilla, Plains, Diane and her husband John Godlewski, Sweet Valley; grandchildren Hailey Shields, Matthew McGraw; adopted grandchildren Joshua, Zachery, and Katelyn Myers; best friend Kevin Czekalski, Bear Creek; and Vince's companion Dalrene Hrywnak, Dunmore; along with several nieces and nephews.
