Obituary of Stella Tomshack

Stella Tomshack, 85, of the Hudson section of Plains, passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 17,2019, while in the care of her family and Residential Hospice. 

Born on May 8,1933, she was a daughter to Joseph and Amelia Szymanski Moscijewski and lived for much of her  young life on North Cleveland Street in Miners Mills.

She attended local schools in Wilkes-Barre and was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, class of 1951.

She married John (Jack, Hammer) Tomshack and together they raised two children: John Jr. and Patricia. Together they were happily married for 45 years until John passed in 2003 

Stella helped with accounting responsibilities for her husbands autobody shop.

Stella was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Plains. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband John and sister Hermine Mascelli.

She is survived be her son John, Plains,; daughter Patricia Marnin and her husband Jim,Wheat Ridge, Colorado; grandson Joseph Tomshack, niece and nephews.

A Grave Side service will be held today, Thursday, April 25,2019, at 12:30 p.m. in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Hudson.
